Bart was raised in Houston and attended Corpus Christi Catholic School and DeBakey High School for Health Professionals. Bart was a licensed EMT-II and worked for many years in the ER at Methodist Hospital, downtown Houston as well as the Houston Fire Department and at the time of his death at OakBend Medical Center where he was a patient coordinator in the ER. Bart was much loved and respected by his family and co-workers, past and present. On September 3, 2004, he married Dana Michelle Radano and they lived in Sugar Land, Texas. He had numerous friends, many still from childhood, which he remained in contact with throughout his life. Bart's greatest passion was the sport of football, which he played as a young boy. He was a true fan of his hometown team, the Houston Oilers and then the Houston Texans. He loved to travel and enjoyed many trips with his grandmother and mother to see family and friends in the Philippines and Hawaii. He also enjoyed his trips to the East Coast, especially to New York City and Philadelphia, the hometown of his wife, Dana Radano Gohr. Bart enjoyed collecting comic books and also watching classic movies and playing XBOX video games and photography. Bart also enjoyed spending time with his family. He was a loving and devoted son to his mother Deborah, helping her with various personal business and errands. They were frequent lunch companions and he would take his mother to lunch at least once a week to a different restaurant. On the weekends he was off, he would graciously take his wife and mother on various day excursions from the Hill Country, Austin, Galveston and Louisiana.
Bart was a special person who left our word too soon. He so often put others first and was always willing to lend a hand to anyone who needed help or a comforting word and encouragement.
