Dennis Jim, 85, passed away on February 24, 2023 in Honolulu, Hawaii. He was the middle of three sons of the late Jacqueline and Clarence Jim. Dennis took great pleasure in many of life's simpler things: a good laugh, golf, beating his kids and grandkids in chess (even while playing two games simultaneously!), and his afternoon beer and pupus.

Dennis was a proud graduate of Punahou, where he made many lifelong friends. Dennis attended Amherst College in Massachusetts, before coming back home to Honolulu. There he met his wife of over 50 years, the late Glenda Atkins Jim, and together they built a full life with their three children Kevin, Trevor and Diane. Dennis worked for many years for the US Navy, first in Honolulu, and then in Philadelphia and Denver.  In their retirements, Dennis and Glenda loved to visit their children and grandchildren in Hawaii and on both coasts.  They crisscrossed the country several times, driving from Colorado to the East and West Coasts, sightseeing along the way.

Dennis is predeceased by his parents Clarence and Jacqueline, his wife Glenda, and his brother Clarence. He is survived by his children Kevin (Kate), Trevor (Mona), and Diane, his grandchildren Maile, Kai, Akash and Vihaan, and his brother Clayden (Maryann).
