F. Don Gustafson was born December 23, 1932 in Gothenburg, Nebraska to a family of Swedish immigrants.  Don was an accomplished football player in high school and college where he played at the University of Nebraska, Lincoln.  After serving in the US Army overseas during the Korean War, Don met and married Donna in 1971.  Married for more than 40 years, they have two children, Jeff and Amy.  Don was a licensed Funeral Director for more than 50 years in the States of Nebraska, Iowa and Kansas, and also a successful small business owner, running The Gustafson Funeral Home in Hutchinson, KS for many years.  Don was a devoted Cornhusker fan, holding the same season tickets for more than 50 years.  Preceded in death by parents, Einar and Vollga Gustafson; brothers, Paul M.D. and Carlton; sister, Charlotte Nutting.  Survived by wife, Donna J. Gustafson; children, Jeffrey Gustafson (Raquel) and Amy Wayne (Lonny); grandson, Ethan Don Gustafson.  Don passed away January 26, 2016.  On March 24, 2017, Don's ashes were buried at sea off the coast of Hawaii, where he and wife Donna honeymooned, with his Ohana by his side.
