Obituary

Eileen Martha McCoy, 72, entered God's Glorious Kingdom on May 9, 2016 after a courageous battle with cancer.  The week preceding her death and at the time of her death, she was surrounded by her family and loving friends.

Born in Albany, NY, Eileen was the daughter of the late Lloyd and Rose Goudreau.  She was employed by the National Commercial Bank where she met her future husband, Don.  They were married on May 2, 1965 and had recently celebrated their 51st wedding anniversary.

They moved often due to Don's career.  Through each move, Eileen created wonderful homes for her family, thanks to her keen interest in design.  At each new destination, she made close friends she would keep for life.  In addition to being a superlative homemaker, she was also President of the Ft. Wayne and Yorba Linda Newcomers Clubs; and she became Vice President of St. Steven's Ladies Guild in Sun Lakes.

Eileen and Don lived in the Sun Lakes area for the past 16 years, where they created many new and dear friendships.  Eileen had a great fondness for dogs, having rescued many from the Humane Society over the years.  She also loved to travel and had visited many destinations around the world.  She loved to decorate for every holiday, especially Christmas, and spent weeks preparing the house to make it wondrous and festive.  She enjoyed playing Bunco and Dominoes with her friends regularly.  Eileen was full of life and mirth and was known for her sense of humor.  She loved to dance, and deeply loved her family and friends.  She was a dedicated wife, that gave so much to her husband, children, and grandchildren whom she adored.

Eileen is survived by her husband, Don; her son, Christopher (Jennifer); her daughter, Lauren (Scott Graham); her grandchildren, Cierra, Cody, Kayla, and Cameron; her brother, Lloyd Goudreau; her aunt; and several loving cousins.

To her husband Don, Eileen was everything in his world-- his rock, his partner, and the love of his life,  She is at peace now, pain free, and in heaven enjoying the company of her family and pets who preceded her in death.
