In Loving Memory of
Heather Ryan (Nee Burns)
May 01, 1958 – August 14, 2015
Our beautiful Heather went to be with our Lord Jesus Christ on Friday August 14, 2015. Heather is survived by her loving husband Chris and her beautiful daughters Alexa and Nicola (Frank) and her little Leo.
Survived by her parents Hugh and Dorothy Burns, sister to Sam Burns (predeceased) and Hazel Burns. Beloved Auntie to nephews Ryan, Stephen (predeceased) and Tyler. Also dearly missed by her Aunts, Uncles, cousins and friends.
Heather was born in Coventry, England and came to Canada in 1967 and the family set their roots in North Delta, B.C. Heather graduated from NDSS in 1976, studied at SFU 1977, graduated from BCIT 1980 in Medical Radiation, graduated from BCIT 1986 in Diagnostic Medical Sonography. Heather worked for Fraser Health Authority for 25 plus years in the medical imagery department at Royal Columbian Hospital and Surrey Memorial Hospital as a technician with the last 8 years as a Supervisor. Heather was an instrumental part of the Medical Imaging team that opened the Jimmy Pattison Outpatient Centre June 1, 2011 and the Breast Health Clinic Team.
Heather's faith in God was important to her and she often said the "God has a plan for me." Her passion was to help others and our Church Missions teams were important to her. Heather loved to knit and utilized her skills to send toques to the homeless and less fortunate in Mexico and Romania. Special thanks to the staff of the Christine Morrison Hospice for the loving care given to Heather and her family.
Heather fulfilled a beautiful journey on earth, though she is missed her new and exciting journey has just begun in Heaven.
