Helyn Reed passed away over 14 years ago but I wanted to include this with my fathers post since the family and I will be spreading both my parents ashes next month on Oahu.

Helyn Joan Reed of Sacramento passed away early morning on April 22, 2002 in her home in Thousand Oaks, Ca. Her husband, Gordon, and their 2 daughters, Kerri and Kelli, were by her side.
Helyn was born in Russell Minnesota to Nels & Selma Nelson. She grew up with 4 older sisters on a farm that her father built.
Helyn met her husband Gordon in February of 1954 and married that following June. They celebrated their 48th wedding anniversary before her passing. Helyn was a real estate broker but spent her time raising her two daughters and enjoying the grandkids.  She is survived by her daughter Kelli, 6 beautiful grandchildren and 3 beautiful great grandchildren.

Helyn lived life to the fullest! She was a friend to everyone who knew her. Her home was always open to everyone to family, friends and ones she didn't know well.  She was very active with outdoor sports. She loved to golf, water ski and traveling to the islands of Hawaii. Helyn has been missed everyday by family & friends. Her loving smile and great cheer will always be a memory for many.
