Judy
Tye
Feb 8, 1940 — May 16, 2011
"It's never too late to become the person you were meant to be".
Judy Tye was born on February 8th, 1940 in Fort Worth, Texas. She spent her early years working at the Fort Worth Stockyards with her mother and her three sisters.
She retired from the Texas Department of Agriculture, and devoted her retirement years to her friends, her garden, and a small family of beloved cats. But her greatest joy of all was helping others. She actively volunteered for the Talitha-Koum Institute and Gospel Café, and the gardens that she designed continue her legacy of sowing life and love. She was a member and past president of McLennan County Master Gardeners Association and wrote a monthly gardening column for Waco Today. In addition, she contributed a number of gardening articles to the Tribune-Herald.
Passionate about gardening and life, Judy liked to say, "It's never too late to become the person you were meant to be". That describes her journey well; she grew sweeter and better through the years.
Survivors include her daughter, Yael Shahar Radlauer and son-in-law, Don Radlauer, both in Israel; sisters Christi Preissinger and Rhea Cole of Fort Worth and Terri Cole of Georgetown; six nephews, one niece, and many beloved friends.
Judy loved Hawaii for it's beauty and peace.
