Mum loved to read. Never a day went by that she did not have a book in her hand. And it would take maybe three attempts to get an answer to a question that you had asked her. Mum also loved to travel. After Dad died mum found her wings and travelled to many different parts of the world where she could indulge her passion for history. Mum went on trips to the UK, Europe, United States, and New Zealand the Middle East and many parts to Australia. Mum was a very feisty lady with a wicked sense of humor. She had a strong opinion on most issues and felt that she had to share them, regardless of whether she was right or wrong. However, at all times she always called a spade a spade. But despite these distinct features, she was very caring, compassionate, loyal and a true friend. Mum adored her family and cherished the relationship she had with them. Mum would often get a daily visit from one of the Edwards clan. And often took trips to Sydney and Brisbane. School holidays were a must to travel to Brisbane to the Trimmer family so she could take Bella to Southbank for a swim and lollies or the movies and Museum. Then take herself down to Melbourne to see her close friend Jan or her brother Bob. Mum kept herself busy. She was a member of a number of clubs and groups. She made many friends and enjoyed spending time meeting with them over lunch or going out for 'latte' Mum loved her reading, and it was appropriate for her to be found lying on the couch with a book in hand. Mum will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Happy Travels mum.
