Obituary

Marvin was a loving man born in Japan to Robert and Nami. He lived in Japan, the Philippines and Hawaii growing up before settling in California as a teen. Marvin married Lori in his twenties and became a stepfather to Jonathan and Matthew. They then had Amy, Joseph and Ashley. Marvins second marriage to Sandra produced no new children but many friends and relatives he would hold dear for life. When Marvin married Tammy he became a stepfather to Jason, Joey, and Jeanine, as well as a Grandpa to Lanaiya and Sean. Lanaiya and Sean started calling Marvin Grandpa Goose, he really loved this. His daughter Amy and her husband Elmer had their first son Logan I'm 2007 and later Hunter, they called Marvin Papa. Jason and his wife Rochelle later had daughters Payton and Reece. All together Marvin had 8 children and 6 grandchildren all who were so blessed with his love. We can't forget my dads love for his pets!! Kona, Emma, and Allie were his most recent pets but every pet we ever had loved him the most. Maybe because he fed them donuts :) Marvin always enjoyed traveling, especially back to Hawaii, he even went 3 times since his Cancer diagnosis. Marvin and Tammy also started cruising. They went to Panama, the Mexican Riviera, and Hawaii. They used to ride their bikes a lot even riding to Sturgis twice. In 2006 on their ride there they got married!! Marvin was a part of the elite 1%er motorcycle club and was VERY proud of this, as only 1% of all bikers can gain this title. :). Something most people know about Marvin is his nickname was Goose. He obtained this shortly after his 40th birthday when he got his Harley Davidson Heritage Classic Softtail and joined a motorcycle club the Weasles. Marvin needed a nickname. Being he loved Hawaii and a mongoose is a Hawaiian Weasles, he wanted mongoose, but in the monocycle world that's another club. So he went by Goose. This also tied into his love for Top Gun, he always said "goose dies at the end", but now Goose lives on in each of us. Marvin was wildly smart and articulate. He could carry conversation with Anyone, anywhere. Once he invited about 6 Hawaiian men he met at safeway to our house for a 4th of July bbq. That was a fun night! As everyone reading this knows my dad was loved. He was smart and funny, please share your stories with us so his legacy lives on.
