She was a musician and a teacher of music, history, and the humanities until she retired in 2000. She taught at all levels, grade school, middle school, high school and college.  She developed and taught a humanities course for high school. She loved teaching and her students, especially her "worthless little toads" at St. Andrew's Priory School in Honolulu, Hawaii. She played violin and viola in 10 orchestras, including the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra.

An Air Force wife, she supported her husband throughout his career, which included 19 different houses and two remote tours.

She was loved and loving as a wife, mother, tutu, friend, teacher, mentor and patient. A special thanks to the care givers and staff for their wonderful and loving care at Freedom House, Air Force Village II, San Antonio TX. She will be missed by all who knew her. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established at St. Andrews Priory School, 224 Queen Emma Square, Honolulu HI 96813 in her name.
