CARVALHO, Richard "Shorty" Shorty ended his battle with cancer on June 29, 2013 at the age of 61. He is survived by his wife, Kay of 33 years, step-daughter, Rosalind Ross, brother, Raymond (Karen) Carvalho, sister, Maria Carvalho, uncle, Joe (Emily) Tavares and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. He will also be remembered by his sister-in-law Cheryl Brooks and brother-in-law Wayne (Eleanor) Johnson and their families and a daughter, Marcie in North Dakota. He was predeceased by his parents, Raymond and Carmen Carvalho as well as his uncle, Fernando Cabral. A Celebration of Shorty's Life will take place on Friday, July 12, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Glenwood Funeral Home, located south of Wye Road on Range Road 232 in Sherwood Park, AB.
