RICHARD KENNETH MAILHES ... born on December 16, 1922 to Edwin and Ella Mailhes in the town of Sepulveda, CA ... and preferred to be called Dick throughout his adult life.

DICK passed from this life on July 1, 1993 in the town of Kingman, AZ, after struggling for a number of years with emphysema, several other health complications and eventually succumbing to the heart's mitral valve prolapse.

His wife, Betty Jean Mailhes, passed away on March 14, 2015.  They were married for over 43 years.  Jean continued to live on another 22 years after Dick's death.

He is survived by his daughter from his first marriage, Frances Stewart, adopted daughter Claudia J Cierzan, and daughter Paula J Peterson.

MEMORIAL SERVICE FOR THE CREAMAINS OF DICK AND JEAN MAILHES IS TAKING PLACE ON SUNDAY, MAY 1, 2016 DURING THE SUNSET HOUR AT SEA IN LAHAINA BAY, MAUI, HAWAII ... IN A PRIVATE SERVICE FOR IMMEDIATE FAMILY MEMBERS ... PLEASE JOIN US IN THOUGHT AND PRAYER AT THAT TIME.

This was my mother's request ... to have her ashes and the ashes of her husband scattered over Lahaina Bay, a favorite place where they made happy memories many years ago.
