Bud (Roger) was born and raised in Seattle, attended Whitman College, and has lived and worked in Seattle, Denver and the Bay Area.

Bud met his wife Aileen while working at Safeway Stores' corporate headquarters in the Bay Area. Bud, who was much older than Aileen, was from the "Greatest Generation," and served in WWII (occupation of Japan) and the Korean War. He was a true patriot.

He loved water sports: sailing, boating, water skiing, swimming, etc. We visited my parents and relatives in Honolulu almost every year and enjoyed swimming at Kahanamoku Beach.

Scattering his ashes off the Waikiki coastline and in Seattle was what he wished for.
