Rosa was born in April 10, 1955 in Juarez Mexico, and grew up in Los Angeles California. She is the third of five children of Alicia and Roberto Rubalcava. The year of 1974 at age 19 Rosa married her high school sweetheart David Raya. In the year of 1978 at age 23 they separated. Enjoying her youth with her girlfriends, Rosa met Tony Miranda at Monterey west in 1982. Shortly after in April 1983 their daughter Angela was born. She found stability comfort, and built deep friendships throughout her years of employment at O'Neill & Whitaker Inc as a customs broker. For 20 years she managed and handled important accounts such as Nike and Home Depot. Rosa was kind, loving, very generous, and considerate. A loving daughter, faithful & responsible sister, and a strong supportive single mother and grandmother. She was admired most for her ways of accepting people for who they were and for her fine delicious cooking. Rosa loved a good gathering of friends, family, good music and food. She was noted as the best baker in the family. We can still taste her pumpkin cream cheese roll, lemon and poppy seed cakes. Rosa continues to live on through her siblings Robert, Yolie, Richy, and her daughter Angela. Her big heart, laughter, generosity, sense of humor, and smile will be truly missed.
