Sherwood Holzapfel, 71 died September 3, 2005 in La Quinta, California surrounded by his loving wife, Barbara; daughter Sherie Dexter of Safford, Arizona; daughter in law, Linda Levans of York, Pennsylvania; and his eldest grandson, Jack "Buddy" Clark III of York, Pennsylvania. He is survived by four children, 10 grandchildren and his constant companion Teddy II. He was born on June 3, 1934 in St. Louis, Missouri and was raised in Kansas City. He attended Baker University in Kansas, and received his Bachelor of Arts degree on June 3, 1956 and then served his country proudly in the United States Navy. Afterwards, his career was spent working in the Aerospace Industry after retiring from the Navy. He was married to Barbara A. Clark on April 11, 1985 and he happily spent those last 20 years married to the love of his life. The services will be held jointly held with his loving wife, Barbara Holzapfel who passed away on February 20, 2011. Barbara and Sherwood will be reunited once again off the beautiful shores of Lahaina, Maui where they began their lives together so long ago.
