Vern lived a long and happy life to the age of 73. He passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on July 12, 2017. Born March 20, 1944, in Taylor, Texas, he was the son of Nowlin and Lillian Wright.

Vern was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 35 years Laverne , his son Billy and his brother Bill.

He is survived by his two children Eric and Renee; three step-children Debbie, Dawn and Charlene; seven grandchildren, six great- grandchildren; and his two brothers Wayne and Harold.

Vern was a Manufacturing Supervisor with Consolidated Containers for 32 years.  V ern loved Hawaii and visited the island many times.

Texas Memorial Services were held in Katy Texas on July 21st, 2017
