Obituary

Warren "Mike" McGuire passed peacfully, comfortably and lovingly held by his wife on the morning of August 8th after a long battle with cancer. Born and raised in Honolulu he eventually settled in Hercules California with his 2nd wife Linda. There he enjoyed a career with Perkin Elmer as a project manager. Retiring early he enjoyed owning and breeding thoroughbred race horses with much success. It was in this business that he met his 3rd wife Georgina who was also an successful owner/breeder. Racing against each other they became friends and eventually fell deeply in love. They enjoyed get togethers with friends and small trips to explore. Mike was an excellent cook and relished the challange to try something new.He was a very kind and gentle soul who thought of others before himself. He frequently went out of his way to provide for those in need. Finding a dream home in Oceanside to relax and enjoy life made him find a peace that was radient. Unfortuantly he was struck by cancer that claimed him far to early. He was as gracious in his illness as he was in life. Tho he suffered no pain he suffered in his desire not to leave us. Mike was predeceased by his father, Frederick Kahalana Mcguire, mother Amelia DeSoto, bothers Bill and Alex. Survived by his bother George (Marilyn), sister Lita Domingo. I always said his parents had to have been special to raise such a wonderful man. His laughter and love echoes in all of us whom he touched.
