Warren Lewis Weaver, our beloved grandfather, held a very special place in our hearts. He grew up as one of twelve children in Sacramento, CA, and was a very strong and determined man who enjoyed his life and others. He overcame polio as a child and went on to apprentice in the family's construction business. The Weaver family played a big part in the completion of many of the important buildings in downtown Sacramento. Warren later joined IronWorkers Union 118, where he served as a foreman and business manager. At 95 years old, he was one of the oldest surviving members. As a young man, he married Dolores Moniz and together they had a beautiful and talented only child, our beloved mother, Warrene. Warren loved water and was often found fishing and boating in the Sacramento and American Rivers near his home. He was an avid boatsman and craftsman who built his own home and two duplexes in West Sacramento and his own houseboat on the Sacramento River. Later on, he married his second wife Betty and enjoyed many years together until she preceded him in death. His love of water brought them to Maui where he and his friend Cullen Chi, put the finishing touches on the Kaleialoha condominium complex in the 1970's. Kaleialoha became his second home with his wife Betty and they enjoyed the Maui lifestyle for over 30 years. Warren served on the Board of Directors at Kaleialoha and was truly a legend there. Return visitors were sure to ask for him and enjoy his company. Warren was very blessed with good health and a long and happy life. He was fortunate enough to retire in his beloved Kaleialoha condo, sharing his good fortune with family and friends. He passed at the age of 95 in his condo and will always be remembered for his hospitality, stubborn drive, and charm. His condo still survives and is enjoyed by all who choose to spend time in the Hawaiian paradise he called home for so many years. God Bless you, Grandpa, may you rest in peace.
