Obituary

Our beloved mother, Warrene, was the talented only-child of Warren and Delores Weaver who was bright and charming, with a wonderful sense of humor. She had beautiful hands and used them for art work, ceramics, cooking, and mastering the violin and piano. She had gorgeous, expressive, eyes that showed delight in simple things, danced when she laughed, and yet could become fiery when enjoying a good debate. She was a good mother to her four children, Lisa, Kari, Suzanne, and Patrick. Warrene was a remarkable woman who positively influenced us and others in so many ways. She had a lot of spunk and did everything with a great big smile that lit up the room, like it was so easy for her, which it was. She was a spiritual woman of integrity and instilled in us strong morals and values. There seemed to be nothing she couldn't create with her artist's hands and gifted creative mind. She played the piano magnificently and shared her love of music with us. She was a wonderful cook and loved to entertain. She had a unique sense of style that was evident in the fashionable clothes she wore and in her home which was always decorated with flair. She was classy, stylish, and sophisticated. She turned the most common things into something special and people loved to come over to our house to visit as she was cool and with it' and ahead of her time. We danced and sang to the hits of the day in our humble, stylish house, always having lots of fun, as she loved to laugh. She had a quick and sharp mind and loved to read. You could always find her with an open book, especially mystery or suspense novels, and she collected many fine literary works. It wasn't easy being a single mother of four. Always one to overcome a challenge, we're proud to say women looked up to her as she was a forerunner to successful businesswomen in the 70's where she managed to balance the needs of her family and own and operate her successful executive office centers. She was also a successful real estate agent, broker, and property manager. Whenever the going got tough, which it often did, she taught us to find the humor in every situation and we would have a great laugh and then she would use her amazing resourcefulness to figure things out. She taught us the importance of being strong together. We may not have had money for new things or vacations, but we never felt like we missed out. We can't speak about her without mentioning Hawaii. She loved the water and the beach. She delighted in snorkeling, scuba diving, and swimming in Hawaiian waters. She looked forward to visiting her dad and Betty in Maui and in her later years, she lived in Hawaii and worked in property management in Oahu and Maui. She hoped to someday retire in Maui and sadly, this did not happen as illness took over her small and fragile body. Her inner strength and courage and sense of humor carried her through two physically challenging years of battling with blood cancer and severe diabetes. She was our best friend who was always there for us. She delighted in her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will always be fondly remembered by all of us. We miss you so much mom. May you rest in peace.
