Yuriko Lily Kubo passed away on January 16, 2015.  She has been dearly missed and is survived by her children, seven grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.  A private memorial service was held on Saturday, February 14, 2015 at the Memorial Chapel of Kubota Nikkei Mortuary.

Yuri grew up in a large family with three brothers (Jack, Fred and John) and two sisters (Mary and Mabel).  She grew up in Los Angeles where she graduated from Manual Arts High School.  She married Yoshio and started her own family in the Los Angeles area.  After Yosh's death, she moved to Cerritos California.

One of her last wishes was to have her and Yosh's ashes scattered in the ocean off of the Hawaiian coast, her favorite vacation destination.  To end her legacy and to fulfill her wish, her ashes will be scattered on July 23, 2016 with her family present.
